Nelson Engineering has the expertise to:

  • Validate initial system start up and commissioning
  • Perform thorough Facility Condition Assessments
  • Establish an operations and maintenance (O&M) database system
  • Tailor a Preventive Maintenance (PM) program to meet equipment functionality, short and long term performance, and mission support requirements.

Nelson Engineering Company has provided the following maintenance engineering services:

  • Through our Facilities Engineering contract at the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC), Nelson Engineering created a comprehensive database for all of AUTEC’s facility assets at Site 1 and downrange Sites 2, 3 and 4.  This database established a unique real property identification number for each asset, location, make/model, description, and preventive maintenance schedule, which was used to populate the MAXIMO, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) used throughout the base
  • Performing annual Facility Condition Assessments to update AUTEC’s MAXIMO and establish a maintenance repair baseline that influences development and prioritization of the five-year plan for major projects.
  • In addition, Nelson Engineering provided critical systems maintenance engineering and long range maintenance support as well as facility, system, equipment and utility inspections for the Joint Base Operations Support Contract prime contractor to maintain systems at required launch readiness levels.
