Quality Assurance

NE has a four step Quality Assurance process:

1.            The first step involves a thorough redline review by the employee to ensure the work performed and results achieved are clear and understandable to the intended audience. The employee validates technical details, verifies ground rules and assumptions, and ensures the technical product meets the deliverable requirements noted in the project’s Scope of Work. The employee also ensures the deliverable meets mandated reporting formatting requirements. See document “What makes an acceptable deliverable for peer review?”.

2.            The second step consists of a Lead review. The Lead reviews the project’s technical deliverables to ensure the work meets the SOW requirements as defined by the Program Management Plan (PMP). The Lead review focuses on verifying technical accuracy, satisfactory reporting compared to the SOW and proper report formatting as defined by the client.

3.            The third step is a discipline cross check. All teammates review documents from the different disciplines to ensure that interfaces are adequately addressed and all issues are coordinated across disciplines and adequately addressed.

4.            Professional Engineers (PE) or Directors perform the final step in the review process. They monitor the performance of all company projects with emphasis on technical accuracy and ensuring the deliverable is client-ready per best practices.
