We’re having our 16th annual Spring Party on May 6th.
Floribbean theme like all the past years! The venue will also be the same as the last few years’ parties – Kiwanis Island Park, 951 Kiwanis Island Park Rd, Merritt Island. This pavilion has worked out well in the past. Lots of space. Covered in case of rain.
We’ll have the standard shrimp boil as in past years. Bugs (crawfish) have been a hit in the past so we’ll have them also. We’ll have a real spicy pot of them too.
Date and Time: Friday May 6th, 2016; 3 PM ’till ??
Where: Kiwanis Island Park Pavilion on the east side of Sykes Creek in Merritt Island just north of 520.
Entertainment: Live music will start around 6:00
Food: We’ll have a shrimp/bug boil with bugs along with appropriate sides, salads, desserts, etc. Help is appreciated with the boil from anyone who volunteered and helped out in the past (pots, labor, cooking, etc.) or those that just want to jump in.
Beverages: A collection of sodas and island style beers will be provided. BYOB if you want something else.
Attire: Island casual
Weather: Let’s hope for great Florida Spring weather. We’ve been fairly lucky with the past parties. Regardless of the weather, the pavilion is large and covered so rain won’t stop this party!
Who’s Invited: As in the past, the party is a closed event – open to our group only and by special invite. The pavilion is large and can accommodate lots of people. If you would like to invite other select friends to be part of our group, feel free to. However, please let us know so we can ensure an accurate headcount for plenty of food, beer and soda.
Other Important Notes: The pavilion has picnic style tables and benches. However, you may want to bring a beach/lawn chair if you’d like to sit and enjoy the music in something a little more comfortable. There is plenty of room to stand, mingle and dance!.
Goals: 1. Fun; 2. Get to know each other better; 3. Fun; 4. Continue a great tradition!!!!
RSVPs requested via the form below or email Leslie by April 13th.
