PRESS RELEASE | FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | Carolyn (Carrie) Seringer, Vice President of Nelson Engineering Co., was honored by The National Space Club Florida Committee (NSCFL) as a Hall of Fame honoree in the category of Space Flight Support. Carrie’s name will be permanently inscribed in granite on the NSCFL pylon on display at the U.S. Space Walk of Fame in Titusville, Florida. As you will see from her biography below, Nelson Engineering’s legacy in supporting NASA and Commercial Space Carriers is rooted in Carrie’s leadership.

Carolyn Seringer is the Vice President of Nelson Engineering Co. and has held the positions of Chief Operations Officer and Director of Design/Aerospace. She has over 40 years of program and project management, design, analysis, system safety, and environmental experience. In 26 years with Nelson Engineering, Carrie has contributed to ground support functions for major space programs, including NASA’s Space Shuttle, Ares, and Space Launch System (SLS); Boeing Delta II; Lockheed Martin’s X-33 Spaceplane; United Launch Alliance’s (ULA) Delta IV, Atlas V, and Vulcan programs; ULA’s Crew Access Tower; SpaceX’s Dragon Transportation; and Blue Origin’s Orbital Launch Site. Carrie is the program manager for Nelson’s prime NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Contracts; NASA Glenn Research Center Architect-Engineering Services Contract; and NASA Southeast Regional Architecture and Engineering (SERAE) contract. She has worked at seven NASA Centers and six other NASA facilities. Before joining Nelson Engineering, Carrie worked for DuPont. From 1990 through 1994, she was the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager for DuPont Fluoroproducts, which included four significant businesses ($1.5B sales) and 21 plants in eight countries. Carrie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Notre Dame. She is a Professional Engineer, Notre Dame Engineering Advisory Council member, and American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) member.
